District Names Jeffrey A. Grosse Chief Operating Officer

Jeffrey GrosseJuly 1, 2019—The Shaker Heights City School District announces that Jeffrey A. Grosse has been named Chief Operating Officer, effective August 1, 2019. He will be responsible for leading and collaborating with all District operations staff, which includes security, building and grounds maintenance, custodial services, food service, purchasing, transportation and warehousing. Mr. Grosse also will advise on long-term facilities planning.

Mr. Grosse has more than 25 years of administrative experience at Berea City Schools, where he most recently served as an Assistant Superintendent/Director of Business Services. In that role, he was responsible for oversight of a $112.5 million budget to renovate a middle school and to build a new elementary school and high school. He also directed team that consolidated two high schools and two middle schools, a move that saved the district more than $3.4 million. Mr. Grosse also has vast experience with district-wide purchasing, maintenance, custodial, transportation and food service programs.

Prior to his central office positions, Mr. Grosse was Principal at Berea High School and an Assistant Principal at Midpark High School (Berea). He began his career as a Health/Physical Education Teacher and coach at both Cuyahoga Falls High School and Trinity High School.

Mr. Grosse is a graduate of Baldwin-Wallace College, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education and a master’s degree in Supervision and Administration. A Northeast Ohio native, Mr. Grosse lives in Brunswick Ohio with his wife, Linda. The couple has two grown daughters, Lindsey and Hannah.
