Shaker Heights Schools Announces 2018-2019 Cheerleader Coaches

Denise JohnsonWe are pleased to announce that Denise Johnson has been hired as the Head Cheerleading Coach at Shaker Heights High School for the remainder of the 2018-19 school year. Ms. Johnson currently works at Notre Dame College as the Director of the FirstGen Center, a resource for students who are among the first in their family to graduate with a four-year degree. Ms. Johnson graduated from Shaker Heights High School in 2004, where she was active in several student clubs including SGORR, dance and cheerleading. As a high school cheerleader, Ms. Johnson was both a Junior Varsity and Varsity captain. She has enjoyed a career working in higher education and education technology, working in the D.C. area before relocating to Cleveland with her family in 2014.   

Khadeja SherrillKhadeja Sherrill was selected as Assistant Cheerleading Coach for the remainder of the 2018-19 school year. Ms. Sherrill currently works as an Administrative Assistant in the main office at the High School. Ms. Sherrill graduated from Shaker Heights High School in 2008 and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and Organizational Leadership from Hiram College in 2016. During her time at Hiram, she also obtained an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts and Science from Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C) in 2013. Prior to work at the High School, Ms. Sherrill worked in the Business Department as Facility Permits Coordinator.
