The Garland Co. Donates $10K to Shaker Schools Foundation for Fernway School

October 3, 2018—The Garland Company, Inc. has made a $10,000 contribution to the Shaker Schools Foundation. Brian Lambert, the company’s general manager, presented the check to Board of Education President Jeffrey Isaacs at a recent Board work session. The money will be used to help establish a design lab at the rebuilt Fernway Elementary School. The hands-on learning lab will be part of the District’s i3 Initiative (inquiry, innovation and imagination) and will reinforce our IB goal of preparing all students to solve problems, think critically and become productive members of a global workforce.
