Dear Shaker Heights Students, Staff and Families,

October 16, 2018—At this time of year, there is always a transition period between heating and cooling of buildings. Please know that the High School will begin a test of the boiler system tomorrow morning, and that the building should feel warm by 10 a.m. or earlier. Staff and students should expect parts of the building to be chilly prior to 10 a.m.

As a precaution, High School students and staff may want to wear layered clothing, such as a sweater, sweatshirt or jacket, to school tomorrow. Our High School orchestra students have also been advised to take violins and violas home overnight when possible.

Please note that the boilers in all other schools are up and running and that the High School is the only school that may experience a delay.
