May 3, 2018—Northwestern University has honored Shaker Heights High School Journalism teacher Natalie Sekicky with a Distinguished Secondary Teacher Award (DSTA). Ms. Sekicky was nominated by former student Shane McKeon, who will graduate from the school's Medill School of Journalism in June. The DSTAs honor high school teachers who have touched the lives of Northwestern students and carry an award of $5,000 for each teacher and $5,000 for each of their schools.
