March 13, 2018—Congratulations to Shaker Heights High School drawing student Noa Marcus for receiving a Gold Medal and senior portfolio student Sophia Geisler for receiving a Silver Medal in the National Scholastic Competition.
These students have been identified by panels of creative professionals as the most talented young artists in the nation. This year, nearly 320,000 works of art and writing were submitted. Only the top 1% was recognized at the national level. Noa has been invited to attend a ceremony at the world famous Carnegie Hall.
Teachers of these students are Kris Walter and Karen DeMauro.
