Let’s Build Our Memories at the Shaker Main Library

The Local History section of the Shaker Heights Public Library is the repository for school history. We would love to capture more alumni photographs, play and concert programs as well as class pictures to share at Shaker Main Library. We are looking for the following materials from the 1970s and earlier.

Can you help us find:

-       Class pictures (especially elementary school class pictures)

-       Any and all play programs, concert programs, special event announcements, especially Fernway, Malvern, and Mercer!

-       Copies of school newsletters and newspapers (especially elementary, Byron and Woodbury)

-       Identify individuals where you can, provide dates if possible

Please share you items with the Shaker Heights Public Library - Local History section:

-       Scan the pictures, programs, and articles and email them to [email protected]  and/or

-       Upload pictures and scanned articles to your class Facebook page, or

-       Deliver them in person to Meghan Hays at the Shaker Main Library on Lee Road. She will scan them for the collection, return the originals and give you a scanned copy.

In time, our items will be available through The Cleveland Memory Project!

Any questions?  Please contact John Barber at [email protected].
