Mercer Olympics Campaign Reaches $100,000 Mark

We believed….an Mercer definitely won! Our one and only fundraising campaign passed the $100,000 mark since the inception of the Mercer Olympics in 2010 by collecting a grand total of $20,791.45 from October 14-24, 2016.

While everyone at Mercer came out as a winner in this event, the grade levels collecting the highest dollar amounts were:

  • Kindergarten – Mr. Leibovich
  • 1st Grade – Mrs. Eakin
  • 2nd Grade – Mr. DiScenna
  • 3rd Grade – Mrs. Smith
  • 4th Grade – Mrs. Richards
Capturing the overall trophy was Mrs. Eakin’s 1st Grade class! One hundred percent of the money collected goes directly to Mercer PTO sponsored projects and activities throughout the school year,  In previous years, the following have been funded:
  • a Meerkat mascot costume
  • technology used for assemblies and presentations
  • the school play
  • the Library tree house
  • Mercer Times
  • teacher grants
  • out of District field trips
  • Chelton Park picnic
  • Meerkat Club
  • ... and MUCH MORE!
Our deepest thanks to each and every person who made a contribution and to the countless volunteers who provided their time and talent to make this event such a tremendous success!

WE BELIEVE THAT MERCER WINS!
