Shaker Mourns Loss of Math Teacher Robin Snyder

The Shaker Schools Community is saddened to report that Robin Snyder, a devoted, beloved and empowering math teacher at the High School, has passed away. Robin joined the High School faculty as a mathematics teacher for the 2002-2003 school year after compiling more than 10 years combined teaching experience in North Carolina, South Carolina, Revere (Richfield, Ohio), and Cleveland Heights-University Heights. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education and her Master of Education in School Counseling from Kent State University. The Board of Education granted Robin tenure in May 2004. Her son, Robert, is a SHHS graduate. We extend our condolences to Robin’s family, friends, colleagues and students. Calling hours are Thursday, July 28, 2016, from 6-8 p.m. at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, 1000 S. Union Ave., Alliance. A funeral service will take place Friday, July 29, at 11 a.m. at Highland Memorial Park, 332 S. 12th St., Beloit. All are invited to lunch after the service at Murphy Auditorium at Copeland Oaks, 800 S. 15th St., Sebring.
