The Shaker Heights Schools will roll out the red carpet
to community members and prospective residents
on October 12 for Tour Your Schools Day - when you'll
have a chance to check out the fine arts offerings,
sample world languages and cultures, and see the International Baccalaureate Programme in action. Tours will be offered from 9:30 a.m. to noon and from
1 to 2:30 p.m. at all five of the K-4 buildings, Woodbury School and Shaker Heights Middle School. Shaker Heights High School Principal James Reed III will be speaking
with visitors at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., followed immediately
by tours of the high school.
No appointment is necessary; all visitors will be asked
to sign in at the main office of the schools they visit. Volunteers, students, and staff members are eager
to welcome visitors and to show them around.
Tour Your Schools Day is a great opportunity for parents
to visit their children's current classrooms or visit the
schools their children will be attending in future years.
It's also an invitation to all community members to see
what is happening in our classrooms.
