The District has undertaken a national search for Principal of Shaker Heights High School. The search firm of Hazard, Young, Attea and Associates (HYA) has developed a leadership profile report. (View the report.)
The profile outlining the desired characteristics for the position was created after input was gathered from Shaker stakeholders via meetings, focus groups, and an online survey.

“Our goal is to have a new principal in place for the 2015-16 school year,” said Dr. Gregory C. Hutchings, Jr., Superintendent of Schools. “However, if we do not find the best fit through this search, we will appoint an interim principal and continue the search. We will not settle for anything less than the best.”

Ted Blaesing of HYA will be the primary search consultant. The HYA team is familiar with Shaker, having assisted with national searches for the Superintendent in 2013, Middle School Principal in 2014, and other senior positions.
