A Thank You in Honor of National School Nurse Day

National School Nurse Day is always the Wednesday of National Nurses Week. This day honors all school nurses who care for the children in the schools every day. School nurses promote learning through healthy children. The theme for the 2016 National School Nurse Day is School Nurses: Better Health. Better Learning.

"Our school nurses are the first person a student goes to when they are sick or hurt," said Dr. Gregory C. Hutchings, Jr., Superintendent of Schools. "Nurses are also instrumental in providing our students information on how to live healthful lives. National School Nurse Day gives us all an opportunity to thank our nurses for the crucial role they play in our students' education."
