Woodbury, Lomond Chess Teams Tops at Championship

Woodbury Elementary was crowned Ohio Elementary Team Champion at the  Ohio Elementary Chess Championship held Saturday, March 19, in Mayfield Heights at the Hilton Garden Inn. A total of 231 students in grades K-6 from all over Ohio participated. The Woodbury team included Ralph Tan, who captured third place individual honors, Anthony Luo and Jacob Andreini.

Lomond Elementary was heralded as Ohio Team Champion team in the K-3 Championship Section, with a team that included Sean Tan, Ohio K-3 Champion, and his sister Patricia Tan.
