MAP assessments will take place from December 4th through the 18th. These assessments are used to measure student progress and growth in the areas of reading and for math. The data provided by this measurement helps our teachers identify students’ strengths and areas where additional support is needed and also helps guide instructional decisions to ensure that all students make adequate growth over time. A schedule can be found HERE. Here are some tips you can do at home to
help your child do his or her best on the MAP:
h Make sure your child gets plenty of sleep the night
before the assessment.
h Provide a good breakfast the day of the assessment.
h Express your confidence in your child’s ability to do his/her best.
h Avoid upsetting situations or changes in routine, if
possible.
