Test Drive: Practice Assessments to Be Given in Some Classes

At the request of the Ohio Department of Education, the District will be testing the technology infrastructure that will be used later in the year for state-mandated assessments. On January 29, all 4th graders and a handful of classes in grades 6, 8, and High School will take a brief online practice test, lasting no more than 30 minutes.

These tests will not be scored. The only purposes are to:

  • ensure that our computers and systems are ready;
  • acquaint the staff with the process;
  • give students a chance to become familiar with the way the tests are administered.

We anticipate that this infrastructure test will help us work out any technical issues so that state-mandated testing goes smoothly for all students when it begins in February.

Further information about the District's testing program, including a schedule, may be found on our Testing webpage.
