Shaker Wins State Champion Title November 2014

Shaker Heights High School defeated Columbus Academy (defending 2013 state champions) in a 1-0 match on Saturday, November 1st in Columbus. The game's only goal by Senior Kasidy Anderson, assisted by Marcia Brown, came in the first 3 minutes of the game.  The Raiders last won states in 1991, when assistant coach Jennifer Clarke was on the team!

The team beat Cincinnati Notre Dame on Friday October 31 in the semifinal game with an exciting overtime win by a score of 2-1.  Shaker was losing 1-0 until almost 4 minutes left in the game when Jessica Morford tied it up.  In overtime, Kasidy Anderson scored the winning goal with 3:05 minutes left in the first overtime session.
