Shaker Artists Win 17 Awards in Scholastic Competition

January 13, 2006 - Art students from Shaker Heights High School won 17 awards in the 2006 Cuyahoga Regional Scholastic Art Awards Program. Shaker’s winners are:

Suzanne Arian, Gold Key and Silver Key in Ceramics and Glass; Lauren Black, Honorable Mention in Jewelry Design; Yanni Davros, Gold Key and Honorable Mention in Drawing, Gold Key in Portfolio; Clio Goodman, Gold Key in Portfolio; Matt Herzfeld, Honorable Mention in Video and Film; Alexandra Jennings, Gold Keys in Painting and Portfolio; Sarah Ledford, Gold Key in Portfolio; Jamie Marx, Honorable Mention in Jewelry Design; Hazel Rigby, Gold Key in Portfolio; Ben Schnur, Silver Key in Graphic Design; Alaina Sullivan, Gold Key in Portfolio; Ellen Super, Silver Key in Ceramics and Glass; and Allison Vitkus, Gold Key in Portfolio.

The art teachers at the High School are Karen DeMauro, Kathleen Fleming, Keaf Holliday, Jody Trostler, Susan Weiner, and Department Chair Dan Whitely.
