Web Site Wins National Award

The Shaker Heights City School District's web site, www.shaker.org, has won an Award of Merit from the National School Public Relations Association. The reorganized and redesigned site was launched early this year. It includes up-to-date calendars for all eight Shaker schools, news, curriculum information, reunion schedules, staff directories, resources for learning, a search function, commonly used forms, and more.

SCK Design Inc., a web technology and graphic design firm located in the Tremont area of Cleveland, designed and engineered the site under the direction of the District's communications department.

Shaker has had a presence on the World Wide Web for six years. This marks the second time the District's site has been honored by the national association.
