School Spirit Through Art History
Students in Daniel Whitely’s Advanced Drawing Class at Shaker Heights High School were assigned to research various artists and movements in art history. The students then chose one visually stimulating style to emulate in their artwork. The students were given a choice of three Shaker motifs to interpret in the style of their chosen artist: the façade of the High School, the Georgian window logo, and the Raider mascot.
Some of the resulting work is contained in this slide show.
