Parents of Incoming Kindergartners Invited to Readiness Program, Open House
The Shaker Family Center and the Shaker Heights City School District will present their annual kindergarten readiness program on Thursday, January 25.
Parents, teachers, and caregivers can learn about expectations for children entering kindergarten, clues that a child is ready for school, skills important for school success, and how to go about registering a child for kindergarten. Parents who have children beginning kindergarten next year won’t want to miss this important program!
The Kindergarten Readiness Program is from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 25, at the Shaker Family Center, 19824 Sussex Road, Shaker Heights.
Child care is available by advance reservation for $4 per child.

In addition, the Shaker Heights schools have scheduled open houses at all K-4 buildings for parents of incoming kindergartners. The schedule is as follows:

Parents will have an opportunity to learn about the kindergarten program, meet the principal and teachers, and register on the spot. Parents who cannot come on their school’s designated night, or who do not know which school their child will attend, are welcome to come to any of the Open Houses.
