As parents, we take seriously the responsibility to provide the best possible education for our children. There are few places like Shaker Heights, and having lived in many different cities as an adult I can attest to its extraordinary environment. This community is special. We place a unique emphasis on excellence in education and good citizenship. These qualities make it easy to be passionate about Shaker Heights and the Shaker Heights City Schools. One simply needs to experience the totality of the education, and it’s hard not to be swept up in the excitement.
 
Each of the Trustees and staff of the Shaker Schools Foundation has had a profoundly positive experience with the Shaker Schools. Our personal experiences drive us to create an even more supportive milieu for teachers and students. Our goal is to make each child’s education richer through the work of the Foundation, securing the strength of our community for future generations.
 
Ohioans face an uncertain environment for school funding.
