We hope that preparing your child to start kindergarten will be only the beginning of your involvement in his or her education. Research shows the most successful students – in all grades – are the ones whose parents are actively involved in their education.
How can you stay involved? Talk with your child about his or her school day. Keep reading to your child daily. Limit the amount of time your child spends watching television and playing video games. Monitor homework. Attend teacher conferences, school open house nights and programs such as family math nights. Read all notices sent home with your child.
