Superintendent's Student Advisory Committee Application

Overview

Purposes: 
  • Advocate for students in the Shaker Heights City Schools
  • Provide the Superintendent with student perspectives on district issues
  • Assist in development of solutions to district challenges

Qualifications and Expectations:
  • The application deadline is November, 5, 2017 at midnight.
  • If selected, interviews will be held after school on November 9 at the administration building in the late afternoon and early evening.
  • Current Sophomore or Junior at Shaker Heights High School
  • Be willing to meet monthly on the following dates from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
    • Tuesday, November 28
    • Tuesday, December 19
    • Thursday, January 25
    • Thursday, Feburary 15
    • Thursday, March 15
    • Thursday, April 26
    • Thursday, May 3
  • Attend the Board of Education meeting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 8 in the High School Small Auditorium.
  • Be a constructive and respectful contributor to discussions
  • Work as part of a team
  • Be a responsible citizen of the school community
