High School Planetarium Reopening 10/10/2013

Do you remember the planetarium at Shaker Heights High School? It opened in the early 1970s and has been expanding the universe for all Shaker students ever since. This past summer, thanks to a partnership between the Shaker School District and Shaker Schools Foundation, the planetarium was upgraded with a new star machine and all the technology to run it. We are grateful to the generous funders of this project: Huntington National Bank, the Arminius Foundation, Annual Fund donors to the Shaker Schools Foundation, and A Night for the Red & White.

The High School Planetarium Reopening on October 10, 2013, was a stellar success.  Annual Fund Donors were invited as well as distinguished guests to attend first the ribbon cutting and then two private shows by the Planetarium manager, Bryan Child.  Guests thoroughly enjoyed their out-of-this-world experience in the shows enhanced by delicious refreshments provided by AVI in the egress.
