FALL SPORTS PRACTICES BEGIN IN EARLY AUGUST BEFORE SCHOOL STARTS.

Girls Cheerleading

Informational Meeting (For Parents & Students): May 10, 6-7 p.m. in Auditorium
Clinic (Mandatory for all trying out): May 21-23, 3:15-5:30 p.m. in West Gym
Tryouts - May 24, 3:30-5:30 p.m. in West Gym
Equipment needed: Athletic clothing and shoes for practice
 
Cross Country (Boys & Girls)
Coach: Ashley Roche (roche_a@shaker.org
Start date: Monday, August 13 at 9 a.m.
Location:  Meet outside Auditorium by large flagpole
Equipment needed: Comfortable running shoes, lightweight clothing, water bottle, supportive under garments, athletic watch with a stopwatch
 
Girls Field Hockey 
Coach: Megan Bennett (meghben@gmail.com)
Practice dates: August 9 from 6:30 to 8:00PM for 7th graders and new players
                            August 14, 15, 16 from 6:30 to 8:00PM for all players
Location: Upper Field (corner of W. Byron & Belvoir Oval)
Equipment needed: Field hockey stick, cleats, shin guards, mouth piece,
goggles, water bottle
 
Boys Football

Start date: Wednesday, August 1 at 10 a.m.
Location:  Meet near the East Gym lobby
Equipment needed: Practice pants with pads, cleats, mouth piece
 
Boys Soccer

Start dates: August 7, 8 & 9 from 9:00AM to Noon
Location:  Lower Soccer Field
Equipment needed: Cleats, shin guards, water bottle
 
Girls Soccer

Girls Tennis

Tryouts:  Wednesday, August 1 at 5:00 - 6:30 p.m.
Location: Shaker Heights High School Tennis Courts

Girls Volleyball

Pre-Tryout Workout: Monday, August 6 for all interested:  8:30AM - 10:30AM
Tryouts8th Grade - Tuesday, August 7 - 4:00PM to 5:30PM     
                  7th Grade - Wednesday, August 8 - 8:00AM to 10:00AM 
Location:  Middle School East Gym (CONFIRMED)
Equipment needed: Kneepads, tennis/athletic shoes, athletic wear, water bottle

Steps to Register

Interested in playing?

1. All athletes must first register at shaker-oh.finalforms.com prior to participation. Complete and sign (parents and athletes) each form.

2. Upon completion, print the OHSAA Physical form from the FinalForms website . While the first three pages will be filled in on FinalForms, a physician must complete the form during an actual physical exam. Physicals are valid for 13 months.

3. Submit the completed physical form to the Middle School main office before your season begins.
